Stories are essential to human existence. From childhood we learn by various means; instruction, example, text and study – but a great story can stay with us forever. Stories teach, encourage, enlighten and embolden weary hearts. They make us laugh and cry. They help us look inwardly, encouraging empathy. They show us how valuable we are – and often how small. They act as windows into the lives of others and mirrors reflecting the truth of ourselves. Author and story consultant Robert McKee said 'Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today.' 

 

A turning point is described as 'a decisive moment or critical point when a change occurs, especially one with the beneficial results.' As the name suggests, Turning Point Films is primarily focused on stories that hearten and inspire; hopefully leading audiences to consider the most astonishing and wonderful story of all  -  their own.
